Women's hooded Fair Isle Christmas fleece dressing gown

HoodedHooded In stock — dispatched within 24 hours
£39.90 GBP

Delivery from £2.9030 days to change your mind

Warm the moment you put it on — no waiting for the fabric to warm through, which is the whole point on a cold morning in a cold hallway

Light for how warm it is — nothing pulls on the shoulders, so it stays comfortable through a whole evening on the sofa

Dry in a couple of hours — it holds almost no water, so it is back on its hook the same day

A hood on a robe — it keeps wet hair off the shoulders and off the back of the neck, which is the single thing that makes a robe worth keeping on after a bath

The thing about fleece nobody mentions

A word from us

The thing about fleece nobody mentions

Start with what the garment is for: a dressing gown is for the hours either side of sleep: the kettle at seven, the sofa at ten. Fleece is a brushed knit: the surface is raised into thousands of fine fibres that trap a layer of still air. That trapped air is the warmth — not the weight of the fabric. That is the difference between a fleece robe and one that only looks the part.

In use it shows up as one thing: warm the moment you put it on — no waiting for the fabric to warm through, which is the whole point on a cold morning in a cold hallway. On that note, see also our christmas dressing gown range.

Before you choose

What people notice in the first week — in a dressing gown

Women ask about the cut through the shoulder and where the belt sits at the waist before anything else, and they are right to — it is where most robes fall down. In the same vein, have a look at our red dressing gown womens.

 • Light for how warm it is — nothing pulls on the shoulders, so it stays comfortable through a whole evening on the sofa
 • Dry in a couple of hours — it holds almost no water, so it is back on its hook the same day
 • A hood on a robe — it keeps wet hair off the shoulders and off the back of the neck, which is the single thing that makes a robe worth keeping on after a bath
 • A Christmas present that gets used — the one gift that comes out of the wardrobe every evening for the next three winters

Good to know

Living with fleece, week after week — when it is worn every single evening

Fleece does not absorb water. Straight out of the bath you will want to towel off first — for that job, towelling is the fabric that works. Machine wash cool at 30°C and air dry. Treated that way, a fleece dressing gown lasts five winters rather than one — the difference between a robe you keep on the back of the door and one you replace every autumn. There is more of this in our red dressing gown range.

Frequently asked questions

What size should I take?

Take your usual UK size. It is cut loose so it goes over nightwear without pulling, and the belt takes up the rest. If you are between sizes, or if you want to wear it over a jumper, take the larger one. Full measurements are in the size guide above the buy button.

What is it actually made of?

Soft fleece. In the hand it is brushed, soft and immediately warm. In use that means it is warm the moment you put it on.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cool at 30°C and air dry. A hot tumble dry flattens the pile and the softness does not come back.

Will it be too warm indoors?

Fleece is genuinely warm, and in a heated flat it can be too warm. Check your bedroom before you commit to it.
